Matt Csenar

Founder & Director

Matt “Husky” Csenar is a hardworking and dynamic entrepreneur, who is passionate about his company providing a high quality service. Matt has extensive experience in the Horizontal Directional Drilling and Civil Construction Industries. He has combined this experience with his extensive mechanical and technical expertise to create a new vibrant drilling company that is intent on setting new standards of excellence for his clients.

Matt started his career as an automotive mechanic and gained valuable experience and skills in working with a wide range of light, heavy and industrial automotive machinery. Once mastering these skills, he then decided to take on a new challenge and embark in a career in the drilling and civil construction industry.

Matt initially worked for Thiess Services and quickly rose to the position of crew leader working on some key projects such as the NBN Rollouts, Major Water Main, and High Pressure Sewer installations. Matt then expanded his experiences by working with Healesville Directional Drilling who specialised in rock drilling and other complex drilling projects.   

From this he then moved into a position with the Drilling Division of Zinfra Group, a major Multinational, and worked on some key projects such as the Mornington Peninsula and Flinders Sewer Upgrades, Koo Wee Rup Gas Main Installation and Baulkham Hills Sewer Upgrades.

By working in these varied roles Matt has gained a unique blend of skills and experience and he then decided that he needed a new challenge and founded Husky Drilling Pty Ltd.
